CUTS International in collaboration with project partner for Haryana, Citizens Awareness Group (CAG), Chandigarh will organise a two days Knowledge Enhancement Workshop Govt at Hotel, Central Blue Stone, Gurgaon on May 7 & 8, 2012 under its on-going project entitled ‘Indian Consumers in the New Age: A Forward Looking Agenda to Address the Concerns of the Common Man’ [ConsumersUp]. The project is being implemented in 4 states i.e. Karnataka, Haryana, Jharkhand and Tripura with the financial assistance o with Department of Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, food & Public Distribution, Government of India supported. The overall objective of the project is to create an enabling environment for protection and promotion of consumer interest.

One of the activities under the project is to enhance the knowledge of civil society organisations and non-government organisations working for consumer protection and empowerment to help them make effective inventions in their respective areas through Knowledge Enhancement Workshop.

In the workshop participants are invited from different sections of society such as representatives of Consumer Organisations/activists, Civil Society Groups, Women Organisations, Resident Welfare Organisations and Media from the state Haryana. This 2 day workshop is open to all interested consumer organisations/activists from the state Haryana.

Various well-known consumer experts, govt. official and other subject experts are invited as speakers in the workshop to share their knowledge and experience with the participants.
