CUTS Calcutta Resource Centre (CUTS-CRC) will organise a capacity building workshop under the Farmers’ Rights Programme (Phase-II), in Meghalaya, Shillong on February 08, 2006.
The proposed workshop aims to sensitise the grassroots stakeholders on the issues relating to Benefit Sharing and Prior Informed Consent on Traditional Knowledge. The participants are expected to come from various academic and research institutions, including farmers’ organisations in the Khasi region of Meghalaya.
