DIRECTOR (FINANCE & ADMINISTRATION)

CUTS International is seeking to recruit a suitable person as Director (Finance and Administration) for its head office at Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. The vacancy is at a senior managerial level and would call for, besides honesty and integrity, proven ability to handle related functions independently.

The candidate should be a CA/ICWA with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience. S/he should be around 42-45 years of age. INTERNS (CUTS GRC)

CUTS Geneva Resource Centre, a research, advocacy and networking non-governmental organization on trade and development issues, is seeking interns to work out of its office at 37-39 Rue de Vermont (6th floor), Geneva. CUTS GRC aims to contribute to the achievement of development and poverty reduction through trade by a) creating a better understanding of development concerns in trade policy; b) enabling participation in trade policy making, particularly in Geneva and with a special attention to those presently excluded (e.g., NGOs, developing country participants, other key actors including civil society); c) stimulating interest of NGOs and other key actors in trade, development and poverty reduction; and d) bridging the gap in information and communication between the NGOs and trade policy communities.

The ideal candidates should be Postgraduate students in Political Science, Economics, International Relations or related fields, with strong academic background from an institute of good repute. They should be highly motivated, and willing to learn and contribute.

Key responsibilities:

  • Providing research assistance and inputs on political economy of international trade and other trade and development issues.

About the MTP

The programme aims at providing individuals, who take on the role of managers for the first time, with an opportunity to acquire knowledge and build on critical competencies that would enable them to perform the role effectively and efficiently. The trainees would be exposed to on-the-job skill-enhancing techniques.

The programme provides practical work experience, exposure to Total Quality Management and other professional development opportunities in operational or functional settings.

The Management Trainee Programme lasts for 12 months making it one of the most comprehensive entry-level programmes.  The various stages of the programme are:

  • Induction (15 days) - In-depth knowledge of CUTS’ activities coupled with the meetings with top management.
  • Projects (11 ½ months) - The trainee would be attached with projects over a period of 11 ½ months.  This includes a cross-functional stint outside the area of the trainee's specialisation and also with CUTS activities across the globe.

Each stage is evaluated with a constant feedback given to trainees on their performance. This will capture strengths that were displayed and his/her areas of development.

The MTP designed to give an opportunity to:

  • Learn about the working of CUTS and the systems and processes that support it.
