Narendra Modi is the most
popular prime ministerial candidate among the people of
Rajasthan, a survey conducted by a consumer body has found.
The survey said that 67% people of Rajasthan want Modi as
prime minister, 16% people want Arvind Kejriwal as PM while
only 10% want Rahul Gandhi as the PM.
The survey was conducted by
Consumer Unity and Trust Society, an NGO. The NGO conducted
the ‘Halat Survey-2014” in 250 villages across 33 districts
in Rajasthan.
Another survey was conducted
before the assembly elections in Rajasthan in 2013 in which
64% people preferred Modi for the post of prime minister. In
this survey prior to general elections, 3% more people have
expressed faith in Modi. Only 10% people have expressed
faith in the Aam Aadmi Party and a similar percentage in the
Congress party.
In the forthcoming general
elections, AAP is not likely to have a major impact in
Rajasthan, but it would eat into the votes of the Congress.
About 62% people said that this was likely to be the case.
