CUTS International with support from The Asia Foundation and Federation of Indian Export Organisations, is organising a half-day Consultation Meeting on Promoting Participatory Approaches for Removing Regional Trade Barriers in South Asia on 24 May, 2013 in Kolkata.

The objective of the meeting is to present the issues relating to Non-Tariff Barriers (NTBs) in South Asia as well as to present proposals for enhancing the process of NTB reforms in the region through a participatory approach and to elicit the views and concerns of multiple set of stakeholders, particularly those of the private sector, on the said proposals. Training on Financial Protection for a Group from Uzbekistan

CUTS CART will organise four days training programme on ‘Financial Consumer Protection’ for a Group from Uzbekistan under the Regional Programme in Support of Microfinance in Central Asia supported by GIZ. This training will be conducted from May 13 – 16, 2013.

The delegates representing Central Bank of Uzbekistan, a group of GIZ supported consumer organisations (Federation of consumer protection societies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, National Association of Microfinance Institutions, Uzbekistan) and representatives of German international cooperation (GIZ), Uzbekistan. These delegates will be visiting RBI, NABARD and other financial institutions to understand the existing financial sector structures, financial consumer protection, financial inclusion initiatives, regulations and consumer complaint redressal mechanism related to financial services in India.
