International (CI) in collaboration with CUTS International
and co-hosted by Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Government of
India is organising a two-day high-level Global Meeting on
‘Review of United Nations Guidelines for Consumer
Protection’ at Hotel Crowne Plaza Rohini, New Delhi, on
February 26-27, 2013. The objective of the meeting is to
examine possible areas for redrafting and revision. The
deliverables from the meeting will be a set of substantive
recommendations to United Nations Conference on Trade and
Development (UNCTAD) from CI and its global membership.

The Training
Workshop on promoting business responsibility is being
organized under the BRCC project, so as to facilitate the
process of adoption of responsible way of doing business
from the part of private hospitals in India. The Workshop is
intended to be a technical assistance activity, a training
opportunity and a forum for exchange of findings of the BRCC
project. The workshop also aims at identifying regulatory
bottlenecks creating obstacle towards adoption of
responsible conduct by the private hospitals.

The Asia Foundation, CUTS International in partnership with
Federation of Indian Export Organisation (FIEO) is
organising a half-day Stakeholder Consultation on Promoting
Participatory Approaches for Removing Regional Trade
Barriers in South Asia in Chennai.
The objective of
the mentioned consultation is to elicit the views and
concerns of business community about non-tariff barriers
(including procedural NTBs) hindering intra-regional trade
and how to overcome them and prepare an advocacy agenda for
the removal/harmonisation of non-tariff barriers between
South Asian countries.
