CONSUMER
ACTION IN RAJASTHAN
In 1997, a project on Consumer
Action in Rajasthan started with the support of HIVOS. The aim was to ensure
that atleast one consumer group is available in 237 blocks in 32 districts
of Rajasthan.
First Phase: In the first
phase, the project was implemented in four districts of Rajasthan namely
Ajmer, Chittorgarh, Jodhpur and Pali. The blocks in these districts
were first surveyed and the possibility of creating a Social Action Group
were found out
